Fear of confrontation
There is of course no dearth of people who derive pleasure out of fighting but for the better part most human beings would like to avoid a potential conflict situation. This again is a primal human behavior; you will notice that when faced by a confrontational situation our blood pressure and heart rate rises due to the secretion of adrenalin and we feel the physical manifestations of anxiety, discomfort, anger etc. This physical and metal reaction is very normal however, some people live in abject fear of confrontation and their fear transcends the bounds of a mere distaste of quarrelling.
These individuals will do anything to avoid getting into a conflict or facing a person who may clash with them. People who fear confrontations usually resort to doing overtly pleasing things or being very passive in the face of a conflict situation. Both reactions are detrimental for their physical and mental well being, being very passive will eventually lead to passive aggression while always trying to please others to avoid conflict will lead to depression.
It is not unusual for many people to ignore certain situations or issues to avoid a fight and maintain peace. Sometimes the differences in opinion may simply not be worth fighting for. But then there are other times when your core beliefs and principles are questioned or when being submissive may lead you to do or say things that you will eventually regret. In such a situation a confrontation may be called for yet to know that you will not be able to take a stand or that you are too petrified of conflict to retaliate can be very horrible.
There can be several causes that may lead to such a fear of conflict; it can very well be attributed to childhood conditioning where a parent may always scorn at the idea of a conflict, watching a parent who is scared of conflict or being traumatized by a conflict situation that turned out badly. Any of these causes can give rise to various emotions like fear, anger, shame, anxiety, terror etc at the though of a conflict.
Even though it is good to go through life as peacefully as possible not standing up for yourself when it is needed can mean that you are missing out on an important aspect of life.
Since the roots of this fear are deeply embedded in your subconscious mind hypnosis can prove extremely helpful is breaking this limiting pattern. Most often people with a fear of confrontation cannot take conscious steps to change their behavior. But with hypnosis I can help you to reach into the deep recesses of your unconscious mind and this is where the automatic responses or triggers are set up.
With hypnosis I can help you to reprogram your responses in conflict and dispute situations. This will help you to be calmer and self controlled when faced with a confrontation.
Anxiety control with hypnosis
Anxiety meeting new people or social phobia can be very emotionally taxing for the person who suffers from it. Man is a social animal and to find pleasure in socializing is one of his primal behavioral traits. But when the thought of meeting people evokes an extreme amount of anxiety and fear, a social situation may become quite daunting.
Social phobia cannot be equated with the excitement that a person may feel before a social event; which is very normal. People who feel anxiety meeting new people will not only feel uncomfortable interacting with people on a personal level but they will also be anxious when meeting new people professionally. The anxiety that a person feels will lead to a feeling of self consciousness and this is the exact opposite emotion to the one that is required to enjoy socializing.
If left unchecked anxiety can lead to depression. On the other hand, because the human brain is capable of learning new things remarkably fast it can be reconditioned to react differently to situations that previously created anxiety.
Through hypnosis I can help you to gain flexibility in your behavior and to connect you with the resources that you have but haven’t been able to access when meeting new people. This in turn will help to lower the level of anxiety remarkably fast. I will teach you to gain control over your thoughts and emotions. Anxiety is nothing but a response generated in reaction to the misuse of imagination. For instance in case of anxiety of meeting new people you may have a faulty perception that people are just waiting for you to make a mistake or that you are not good enough to speak with them. Through hypnosis I will help you to realize the futility and the error of your thoughts. This will help you to relax and calm down and tackle the fear to enjoy a life without anxiety.
Hypnosis and Exercise motivation
Nobody can deny the fact that exercise is a crucial aspect of healthy living. Regular exercising can keep several issues at bay like obesity and several ailments caused due to it. However, one of the biggest challenges that people are faced with is to be motivated enough to exercise. A lack of motivation gives rise to procrastination and then a person can find a million excuses to not exercise. There can be several reasons that can cause de-motivation one of them is a reduction in weight loss.
If you languish at the thought of hitting the gym or find excuses to avoid it; even try to justify your reasons for not exercising and if no amount of self talk seems to help; hypnosis may be just the thing to help you.
People who lack exercise motivation typically have a set pattern of thinking where they either keep saying to themselves that one day they will start exercising diligently or they may make a list of things to do in terms of exercising that they need to do which is never put into action. But this thought pattern is the culprit instead of thinking about what you need to do you should be thinking about what you are going to do.
Motivation is directly related to the unconscious mind. And through hypnosis the unconscious mind can be programmed to be drawn to exercising. Motivation related issues can be squarely attributed to our thought patterns. And with hypnosis I can train your mind to change your thought pattern; to change the way you think and to be in control of your thoughts.
Our body and our mind knows what it feels like to be drawn towards a goal or a thing for instance, the feeling that you just have to talk to the pretty girl who lives on your floor. Through hypnotherapy I can help you to attach this feeling with exercising. Since the conditioning is done at the unconscious level the results are not only conspicuous but also very fast.
Controlling anger through hypnosis
There is no denying the fact that anger is a natural human reaction yet when overdone it can be one of the most destructive emotions. People with anger related issues experience problems in their personal and professional life. People with anger management issues normally depict a set pattern of behavior where an outburst is followed by remorse however by then the damage has already been done.
A constant feeling of anger over an issue will impede a person’s ability to handle the situation logically. There can be several triggers and causes to anger while in some case a particular stimulus may lead to anger in others anger may start building over trivial issues till it finally erupts. Sometimes a person may be stressed over work related issues and this may lead to extreme irritation which will eventually cause anger. Alcohol and substance abuse may also lead to anger issues.
There is no set timetable to feeling angry; there are some individuals who are just waiting to explode and get angry every day while some others may get very angry once or twice a month. Then again there are always cases when a seemingly calm individual may turn into devil incarnate in certain situations. This type of behavior is generally seen in individuals suffering from road rage.
Instead of trying to control anger it is best to not get angry and this is where mental conditioning through hypnosis steps into the picture. Through hypnosis I teach you to move away from anger and to stay way from it even in situations which would normally provoke an emotional response from you. With hypnotherapy the response to a particular situation can be re-patterned at a deeper more automatic level.
I don’t just give you anger management techniques instead I help you to recondition your thoughts associated with your old way of being and to build more choices in your responses to situations. Also I don’t believe in digressing over your past, childhood or other issues instead I deal with the problem as it arises consciously so you get results faster. Hypnotherapy is remarkably useful in helping people, who get irrationally furious when faced by certain triggers like chewing loudly etc.
Bedwetting may very well be a symptom of an underlying chronic disorder like type 2 Diabetes. However, if you are not afflicted by a physical ailment that may be the causative factor behind enuresis or adult bed wetting as it’s commonly known; the factors may very well be psychological. Some of the psychological issues that may lead to bed wetting in adults are suppression of emotions, personal related problems or even certain stress related issues.
Eliminating bed wetting is usually a very frustrating goal to achieve, quite simply because the conscious mind is not involved when control is lost over the bladder in the state of sleep. Most people assume that it is imperative to be awake in order to control the bladder.
However, even when we are sleeping our unconscious mind is still alert. This unconscious mind is responsible for alerting us of dangers, discomforts etc. It is because of this unconscious mind that our body temperature changes in response to external stimuli and we move if we are uncomfortable even when we are sleeping.
Because the unconscious mind is still alert even when a person is fast asleep, it can be used to gain bladder control and stop bedwetting. Hypnosis is found to be remarkably helpful in training the unconscious mind to stop bed wetting by controlling the muscles that stop the urine from seeping out of the bladder.
It is a tricky skill to learn directly but through hypnosis I can help to train your unconscious mind to achieve the results that you desire. Also, with the help of hypnosis; I will be able to identify and tackle the root psychological causes that may be leading to the problem.
Normally the process of training your unconscious mind is very slow. After all as babies it did take us very long to gain control over our bladder and stop bed wetting but with the help of hypnosis I can help you to accelerate the process significantly and get remarkable results sooner than you thought possible.
